So I made it to Mississippi safe and sound! My mission president and his wife are absolutely wonderful and so are all of the missionaries that I’ve met so far. I’m not going to lie, when we landed I was a little unhappy, and as we drove around the feeling only got worse. It looks and feels like Missouri. In the car all of the sisters that were with me were talking about how green and different everything was. There are all from Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. All I could think about was the fact that it looked like home. I felt like I was driving through Missouri and it was killing me. Mostly because I felt like I should be driving to my house to sit on the front porch and pet my cat and dog and ride my horse later. Have a meal with the family and watch a movie, and I knew that wasn’t what was in store for me. This mission is going to be hard because it looks like home 😦 But….. I prayed last night for help, and guess where I got assigned… I’m going down to the coast to a place called Slidell! What an answer to my prayers πŸ™‚ That should at least look a little different from Missouri πŸ™‚ I’m excited to get down there and meet my companion Sister Rigby πŸ™‚ Everyone says she is awesome! Also her birthday is this Thursday so I’ll get to celebrate that with her πŸ™‚ Sooooo excited!!! Now to get in the car and drive for 4 hours!!! Gotta love traveling! Great time to write in the journal right lol I hope everything is going well with the family πŸ™‚

I love you, and the gospel is true πŸ™‚ Sister Rogersunnamed unnamed (49) unnamed (11)unnamed (21) unnamed (70)
